This is the first in a new series of guided meditations I’m offering as a small thank-you to paid subscribers—but I wanted to make this one available to everyone, as a simple gesture of gratitude.

This is a meditation that can help you feel the power of simply sitting still and being present for whatever arises.

Find a comfortable position, either sitting or lying down.

Allow your eyes to close gently or soften your gaze toward the floor if you prefer

to keep your eyes slightly open.

Take three deep breaths.

Breathe in slowly, and then release.

Again, breathe in, and let it go.

One more time, breathing in deeply, and allowing everything to settle as you exhale.

Now let your breathing return to its natural rhythm.

There's nothing to control or to fix here.

Simply allow your breath to breathe itself the way it has been doing your entire

life without any conscious effort.

In this moment, as you sit here breathing, you're already complete.

Not because you've achieved anything special, not because you've figured something out, but because this very awareness that's present right now is the wisdom you've been seeking.

Let go of any effort to be anywhere other than exactly where you are.

To listen to the birds outside or to the sound of traffic or to everything that reaches your ears.

You already know how to respond with care when life calls for it.

These aren't skills you need to develop.

They're expressions of the wisdom that's already here.

Rest in the awareness that what you're looking for is exactly who you are in this moment.

Rest in the profound ordinariness of simply being here, breathing, aware, and fundamentally okay.

When you're ready, slowly open your eyes or lift your gaze.

Take a moment to transition gently back into your day, carrying with you this reminder that the wisdom you seek is not somewhere else waiting to be found.

It's here, now, quietly present in your natural capacity to meet each moment with awareness and care.
